# Summer in Ukraine: Weather Forecast for June 6–7 — Warmth, Rain, and Surprises in Kyiv

Ukrainians can expect summery warm weather over the upcoming weekend, June 6–7. However, meteorologists warn that short-term rains are possible in some areas, while the capital may experience an unexpected cooling on Sunday.

### Temperature Range: from +22 to +27°C

According to a forecast by meteorologist and synoptic Natalka Didenko, published on Facebook, daytime air temperatures across the country will average between +22 and +27°C. These are comfortable conditions for walks, picnics, and outdoor relaxation — provided you don’t get caught in one of the brief showers.

Nighttime temperatures will vary by region: from +13°C in the west to +19°C in the east. On the night of June 7, readings may drop to +12°C in western areas and reach +20°C in the east.

### Rain: Where and When to Expect Precipitation

The synoptic clarifies that short-term rains are most likely during the weekend. Across most of Ukraine, there will either be no precipitation at all or just “a few drops” — nothing serious.

The eastern part of the country will remain the driest zone during these days. Here, you can count on consistently clear weather without interruptions.

### Kyiv: Saturday — Warm, Sunday — Cooler

In the capital, the situation is slightly more complex. On Saturday, June 6, temperatures will rise to +26°C — ideal for a summer day. But already on Sunday, June 7, daytime temperatures may fall to +19°C. This drop is due to a passing cold front, which will temporarily cool the air in Kyiv.

Nighttime temperatures in the capital will also be lower: according to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center (UkrGMC) chart, nighttime lows may reach +15...+17°C. However, after Sunday, daytime temperatures will begin rising again — summer isn’t giving up its position.

Natalka Didenko summarizes the forecast with these words: “A good, sensible summer… No complaints about the weather… There’s never too much summer.” Her words reflect the general trend: despite localized rainfall, the weather remains steadily warm and pleasant.

Forecasts are based on data from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center (UkrGMC), which uses modern models and satellite observations. Previously, center specialists have explained how forecasts are created and why they sometimes change — this is a normal part of synoptic work, not an error.

Don’t forget about folk signs — although they don’t replace scientific forecasts, many Ukrainians still pay attention to animal behavior and natural omens. For example, groundhog Tymka, who became a symbol of spring forecasting, continues to “work” in his role — humorously, but with love for tradition.
