# Weather in Ukraine on June 10: Sunny intervals, thunderstorms, and fog — UkrGMC forecast

On June 10, the weather in Ukraine promises to be warm and, in some places, even sunny. However, meteorologists warn that dangerous meteorological phenomena are still possible in certain regions. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the press service of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center (UkrGMC).

### Variable cloud cover and a break from rain

According to the forecast by UkrGMC specialists, variable cloud cover will be observed across the country throughout the day on June 10. The territory of Ukraine will finally be out of the sight of active atmospheric fronts. Pressure will begin to rise slightly, ensuring a nighttime break from precipitation everywhere.

However, in the rest of the territory, due to convective processes, short-term rains with thunderstorms are possible. Such conditions require caution — especially during the daytime, when the likelihood of local downpours increases.

### Fog in the morning and weak wind

A warm, moist air mass combined with weak winds in most regions (except the western ones) at night and in the morning may lead to the formation of fog. This will create difficulties for drivers and pedestrians — visibility will be reduced, and roads will be slippery.

During the day, the wind is expected to be variable in direction, with speeds of 3–8 m/s. No storm gusts are forecasted, but one should be careful in coastal zones or open spaces.

### Dangerous phenomena: what to expect?

UkrGMC has issued an official warning about dangerous meteorological phenomena on June 10. In particular, this refers to possible thunderstorms with hail, sharp pressure drops, and sudden downpours. These conditions can lead to complications in traffic, damage to structures, and even injuries to people.

The coming night is expected to be moderately warm — the air temperature will be +13…+18°C. During the day, the thermometer columns will rise higher, especially in the central and southern regions.

### Kyiv and the region: no precipitation, but changeable weather

In Kyiv and the Kyiv region on June 10, variable cloud cover is also expected, but without precipitation. City dwellers will be able to enjoy a relatively calm day, although small cloud clusters are possible in the evening.

The forecast confirms: although frontal systems have retreated, local convective processes continue to form unstable weather. Therefore, even on a “sunny” day, it is better to have an umbrella or raincoat at hand.

### How meteorologists work and why the forecast is important

Previously, UkrGMC explained how weather forecasts are created — from collecting satellite data to analyzing numerical forecast models. Specialists emphasize that accuracy depends on many factors, including wind speed, humidity, surface temperature, and even the state of the ocean.

Experts also explained what June in Ukraine can be like in general — the month often becomes a transition between spring and summer, with frequent temperature fluctuations and unexpected thunderstorms.

Interesting fact: in Ukraine, there is a methodology for recording the duration of sunshine — literally “recording” the sun using special instruments. This helps scientists analyze climate trends and adjust long-term forecasts.

June 10 is a day when nature demonstrates its duality: sun and rain, heat and fog, calmness and sudden thunderstorms. Be ready for any surprises — and keep an umbrella at hand.
