# Where is it cheapest now: monitoring food prices in Ukrainian supermarkets on June 17

On Wednesday, June 17, new changes in the cost of popular products were recorded on the shelves of major Ukrainian retail chains. A price monitoring survey conducted by RBC-Ukraine revealed exactly where the most budget-friendly offers on basic goods can be found right now.

The analysis covers exclusively the lowest current prices available in the stores on this date. Experts note that price dynamics vary depending on the product category: ranging from complete stability to noticeable decreases.

### Eggs continue to get cheaper

The most pleasant news for Ukrainian wallets is the situation in the segment of Grade C1 chicken eggs. One retail chain recorded a significant drop in the price of a dozen eggs. Meanwhile, another brand returned to its previous figures after a price drop recorded the day before. Overall, the trend of this product becoming cheaper continues.

### Bread and cereals: stability and spot changes

In the bakery department, the main news of the day was a change in the price offer at the Auchan chain, where the list of the cheapest items was updated. In other supermarkets, the cost of bread remained at Tuesday's levels, without undergoing significant changes.

Popular cereals demonstrate absolute price stability. In most supermarkets, the cost of these goods has not changed, indicating a smoothing of market conditions in this segment.

### Milk and oil: calm after the spikes

Prices for pasteurized and ultra-pasteurized milk with a fat content of 2.5–2.6% in small packages (400–500 g volume) remained unchanged compared to the previous day. Shoppers can expect the same prices as the day before.

In the segment of refined sunflower oil with a volume of 0.5 L, Wednesday brought complete calm. Unlike Tuesday, when price fluctuations were observed in this category, all retail chains fully maintained the minimum prices recorded the day before.
