# Working veteran pensioners will have their living allowance extended automatically: Pension Fund clarifications

The Pension Fund of Ukraine has provided important clarifications regarding payments to veterans and internally displaced persons (IDPs). The main question concerning many single pensioners is whether the right to the allowance is retained upon official employment. The official answer turned out to be reassuring: the automatic extension of payments does not depend on whether the pensioner has a job.

### Automatic extension without applications

According to information published by RBC-Ukraine, citing Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 332, the mechanism for assigning the living allowance for IDPs operates in automatic mode. If the recipient's pension amount does not exceed four times the subsistence minimum for non-working citizens, the payment is extended for another six months without the need to submit additional applications.

In 2026, this financial threshold is 10,380 hryvnias. This figure is key to determining the right to support.

### Salary does not affect status

Specialists from the Pension Fund emphasized an important nuance: the fact of employment and the presence of income in the form of a salary do not affect the automatic extension of the payment. This means that single pensioners who continue to work, but whose pension remains within the established limit, will continue to receive living assistance.

Thus, if a pensioner receives a pension of up to 10,380 hryvnias, IDP support will be continued for the next six-month period regardless of their employment status.

### Additional opportunities for veterans

In addition to financial support, veterans and IDPs have access to educational programs. As part of the REMARKET project, which is being implemented in eight regions of Ukraine, these categories of citizens can undergo free professional training under the TVET program. The project is designed for 800 people and is aimed at improving qualifications and adapting to the labor market.

It is worth noting separately that in July, the payment amounts for IDPs will not change. However, it is important to remind fund specialists that displaced persons must update their data in the system in a timely manner. Ignoring this requirement may lead to the suspension of assistance.
