China has taken the lead in shaping global standards for artificial intelligence development. At the World AI Conference held in Shanghai, Chinese President Xi Jinping called on the international community to unite around Beijing in governing new technologies. Speaking at such a forum for the first time, the Chinese leader announced that Shanghai would become the headquarters of a new international organization tasked with regulating the sector.

### "Symphony" Instead of "Solo Performance"

In his speech, Xi Jinping emphasized the critical importance of ensuring global AI safety, positioning Beijing as a responsible player on the international stage. The head of state used a musical metaphor, stating that technological development should not be a "solo performance by one country" but should evolve into a "symphony of international cooperation".

This move appears to be an attempt to seize the initiative amidst fierce competition between the United States and China. Previously, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that America must maintain its status as the world leader in AI, otherwise this role could be taken by China or Japan. Now, Beijing is effectively offering its own model for governing the technological future.

### Technological Context

Against the backdrop of geopolitical maneuvering, the industry continues to develop rapidly. For instance, the Duya.AI service has introduced voice communication support by integrating ElevenLabs technologies, allowing users to interact with the system verbally. In Ukraine, Lviv Polytechnic announced the creation of a High-Performance Computing Center for AI work, based on the GIGABYTE XN24-VC0 server; the platform launch is scheduled for September 2026. Additionally, OpenAI is working on creating a gadget capable of learning user habits and serving as a personal AI companion, closely integrated with ChatGPT.
