Xiaomi has launched pre-sales for its new Mijia Washing Machine Giant Washing Pulsator 6kg in its official online store. The model is designed for a load of up to 6 kg of laundry, and its pre-order price is 587 yuan, which is equivalent to approximately 88 US dollars. To place an order, the buyer needs to make a deposit of 50 yuan (about 7.5 dollars). According to the manufacturer, the machine can wash up to 26 t-shirts in a single cycle, making it geared towards everyday small loads.

### Compactness and Minimalist Design

A key advantage of the new product is its dimensions: the device occupies only 0.25 m² of floor space, allowing it to be placed even in the limited space of a kitchen, bathroom, or loggia. The body features a minimalist white design with a contrasting gray bottom panel and support legs, while the controls are located on the top panel. The latter is equipped with a child lock that prevents accidental activation of the machine or changing settings during operation—an important safety element for families with small children.

### Ten Modes and Fast Program

Users have access to 10 washing modes covering various fabric types and degrees of contamination. For a small amount of laundry, an accelerated 19-minute program is provided, allowing items to be refreshed quickly without waiting for a full cycle. This set of options makes the machine versatile for daily use and urgent tasks.

### Drum Self-Cleaning and Dual-Layer Filtration

The device design uses a dual-layer mesh filter to collect lint generated during the washing process. In addition, the machine supports a drum self-cleaning function and a drying mode. During self-cleaning, an intensive water flow removes accumulated dirt, and subsequent drying helps get rid of residual moisture and keep the inner surface of the drum clean, reducing the risk of unpleasant odors and re-contaminating the laundry.

### Context: Expanding Xiaomi's Home Appliance Lineup

The launch of this model fits into Xiaomi's broader strategy to develop the home appliance segment. Earlier, in late September 2026, the company had already showcased the first washer-dryer with a heat pump in official photos, for which a crowdfunding campaign was launched. Thus, the Mijia Giant Washing Pulsator 6kg occupies the position of an affordable compact solution, while more productive devices with a drying function form the upper segment of the lineup, allowing Xiaomi to cover different price and functional market niches.
