# Xiaomi is preparing a monster for India: POCO M8 Power with a 7-inch screen and an 8000 mAh battery

An interesting event is brewing in the mobile technology industry. The Gizmochina portal reports that Xiaomi is preparing to launch a new smartphone under the POCO brand — the M8 Power model. This gadget will be an adaptation of the Chinese REDMI Note 17, which was presented very recently, but this time it is aimed at the Indian market and possibly global sales.

Information about the preparation of the device is already confirmed by official data. The smartphone with model number 2602IPC8I has passed registration in the database of the Indian regulator (BIS). This is a signal to the market that the device will soon appear on store shelves.

### Screen and Performance

The main feature of the novelty will be an impressive display. It is claimed that the POCO M8 Power will get a large 7-inch AMOLED screen manufactured by Samsung. The panel will work with Full HD+ resolution and is capable of delivering a peak brightness of up to 1800 nits, which will ensure excellent readability even under direct sunlight.

As the computing core, a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor is announced. This chipset should ensure stable system operation and comfortable use of popular applications, while remaining energy efficient.

### Cameras and Charging

In the photographic department, the manufacturer did not skimp. The smartphone is attributed a 50-megapixel main camera capable of taking detailed shots. In terms of power supply, the device also looks impressive: it will support fast wired charging with a power of 45 W.

The reverse charging function is of particular interest. The POCO M8 Power will be able to give energy to other devices via a cable with a power of up to 22.5 W, turning into a powerful external battery.

### Record Autonomy

The most impressive parameter of the novelty is the battery capacity. The device will be equipped with an 8000 mAh battery. This means that Xiaomi does not plan to reduce energy reserves in the version for India compared to the original Chinese REDMI Note 17. Such a volume promises multi-day operation without recharging, which is especially relevant for a market focused on reliability and autonomy.

The exact dates of the POCO M8 Power announcement are not yet specified, but the appearance of the model in the regulator's database suggests that the presentation may take place in the near future.
