# Yellow alert and up to +37°C: how an anticyclone will change the weather in Ukraine at the end of July

The synoptic situation in Ukraine will change drastically in the coming days under the influence of a powerful anticyclone. As early as Thursday, July 30, a sharp warming is expected in certain regions of the country, and by the beginning of August, thermometers in the west may show critical values of up to +37°C. Experts from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center (UkrGMC) have warned of a combination of heat and dangerous wind gusts.

### Anticyclone and temperature spike

According to specialists, the weather on July 30 will be determined by an anticyclone, the center of which will be located over the Right Bank. In the leading part of this atmospheric front, a cool air mass from the north will begin to enter Ukraine. However, this process will be most noticeable during the night hours, when the air temperature will be +10...+15°C.

The daytime will pass under the sign of high pressure and slight cloudiness. The absence of precipitation and cloud cover will allow the air to heat up quickly. In most regions, the temperature will rise to +27...+34°C during the day. It will be especially hot in the west of the country: on August 1, meteorologists forecast extreme values of up to +35...+37°C.

### Yellow danger level due to wind

Despite the heat, the main danger on July 30 will not be the temperature, but the wind. The wind is expected to be predominantly north-western with a speed of 5-10 m/s. However, on the east and north-east of Ukraine, dangerous gusts reaching 15-20 m/s are forecast during the day.

In this regard, the UkrGMC has declared a yellow level of weather danger. Such conditions require residents to exercise increased vigilance and observe safety precautions.

### Forecast for Kyiv and Kyiv region

In the capital and Kyiv region, the weather on July 30 will be relatively calm. Slight cloudiness is expected, precipitation is not forecast. In the future, according to the forecast schedule, the air temperature in Kyiv will also show a trend of growth, following the national trend of warming.

### Weather without precipitation until August 1

According to the forecast for the next three days (July 30 — August 1), dry weather will persist in most regions of Ukraine. Precipitation is not expected, which will allow the anticyclone to heat the territory without hindrance. Residents of western regions should pay special attention to forecasts, as it is there that the peak of summer heat is expected by August 1.
