# YouTube introduces strict restrictions: how new monetization rules will impact AI content creators

Video hosting platform YouTube has announced a significant revision of its Partner Program policies. The platform's leadership has decided to tighten monetization criteria to halt the influx of low-quality content generated by algorithms. The focus is on so-called inauthentic content, which previously generated revenue for creators but will now be excluded from the program.

### Three categories of "prohibited" content

YouTube administration has clearly identified three types of materials that will no longer be able to generate profit for authors. This decision is dictated by the need to protect the ecosystem from automated farms and to preserve advertising revenue in the competitive struggle with traditional TV channels.

    - **Template videos without an original plot.** Uniform clips created according to a template and lacking a unique creative idea have come under fire.

    - **Emotionally manipulative materials.** Content aimed at artificially stirring up emotions to gain views will now be filtered out.

    - **Virtual avatars in sensitive topics.** Special attention is paid to materials where digital characters discuss complex issues, such as finance and healthcare.

### Fighting digital clutter

New requirements are designed to cut off countless mass-produced publications that clutter users' feeds. The platform administration emphasizes that modern technologies should serve as a tool for developing creativity, rather than turning into a mechanism for mass reproduction of digital clutter. The goal of the updates is to encourage truly unique creative works that benefit viewers.
