In the world of cinema and theater, the name of People's Artist of Ukraine Stanislav Boklan has long become synonymous not only with outstanding acting mastery but also with a "difficult character." However, behind the public image lies deep human friendship and professional respect. Producer and actor Yuriy Gorbunov spoke frankly about this in an interview with OBOZ.UA, published by RBC-Ukraine.

### Thirty Years of Friendship

The relationship between Gorbunov and Boklan spans nearly three decades. They met at the beginning of Yuriy's career when he first arrived in the capital. "After university, I worked for five years at the Ivano-Frankivsk Theater, and when I came to the capital, director Semyon Gorov (we studied together) invited me to appear in one of his music videos. That is where we met. We have been friends ever since," recalls the producer.

Initially, they were connected solely by personal friendship, but over time it evolved into a strong professional partnership. The project that united their efforts was the film "Potyag 'Chervona Ruta'" (The 'Red Rue' Train).

### Creative Disputes as the Norm

Gorbunov did not deny Boklan's reputation as an emotional and difficult person to deal with. On the contrary, he called this a natural trait for creative people striving for an ideal result. "Of course, he is emotional. Sometimes we can argue even in raised voices. But this is exclusively about work. When everyone wants to make a good film, creative disputes are inevitable," admitted Gorbunov.

For a producer who is also an actor himself, such moments are understandable and predictable. He emphasizes that he is "on this side of the barricades" and easily understands the motives of his colleagues, even when emotions take over.

### The Value of Experience

Despite possible conflicts, Yuriy Gorbunov highly values Stanislav Boklan's professional contribution. According to the producer, the actor often suggests solutions that the team hadn't even thought of. "I really appreciate Stas for his experience. Sometimes he suggests things we hadn't even thought of. The younger generation listens to him," noted Gorbunov.

Junior colleagues carefully heed the advice of the People's Artist, seeing in him an authority whose word carries weight in creating a quality product.

### Who is the Boss on Set?

Separately, Gorbunov touched upon the issue of hierarchy on the film set. He emphasized that cinema is a team effort where the role of every participant is important. However, at the moment of actual shooting, the key figure is the director.

"Before shooting begins, there is a preparatory period when everyone expresses their ideas, argues, and proposes solutions. But when shooting starts, the final word belongs to the director, because he sees the whole film. He understands how all this will come together into a single story," summarized the producer.
