Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna has severely criticized Russia's actions regarding Ukrainian nuclear facilities. In his view, attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure are not merely military operations but a calculated game with global nuclear security that threatens all of Europe.

Official Tallinn believes that the level of recklessness demonstrated by the Kremlin requires an immediate and firm response from the international community. Tsahkna emphasized that no state should have the right to risk the planet's safety for its military objectives.

### Strike on a storage facility in Kyiv region

The trigger for the sharp reaction from the Estonian diplomat was an incident that occurred on June 7. In the early morning hours, around 02:10, a Russian drone struck an Energoatom facility — the Centralized Storage Facility for Spent Nuclear Fuel (CSFSNF).

The facility is located near the settlement of Buryakovka in the Kyiv region. As a result of the attack, the container reception building was partially destroyed. This event attracted the attention not only of Ukrainian authorities but also of diplomats from partner countries, who see this as a direct threat to the environmental and radiation safety of the region.

### Demand for severe consequences

Margus Tsahkna stated that such actions cannot be left unaddressed. In his comment, he noted that the world cannot allow a scenario where nuclear security becomes a hostage to military games. According to the minister, such provocations are bringing Europe closer to a new catastrophe, the consequences of which could be unpredictable.

Estonia insists that any attempts to use nuclear infrastructure as a target must be stopped by the harshest measures possible. The diplomat called on the international community to prevent a recurrence of such incidents and to ensure reliable protection for critical facilities.
