# "Ukrainian drones are flying there": Zelenskyy sarcastically answers Trump's question about a trip to Moscow

During a recent meeting between the leaders of Ukraine and the USA, one of the most pressing questions of current diplomacy surfaced: is Volodymyr Zelenskyy willing to travel personally to Moscow for negotiations with Vladimir Putin? Donald Trump asked the question, and the answer came with a characteristic dose of irony.

### "It is unsafe to fly"

As RBC-Ukraine reports, citing a broadcast of the conversation, Trump directly asked the Ukrainian president if he planned a trip to the Russian capital. Zelenskyy's response was brief but meaningful:

"It is difficult, Ukrainian drones are flying there. Such flights are unsafe. Maybe somewhere in Europe, maybe we will find a place somewhere".

The phrase sounded like a sarcastic response to the long-standing rhetoric of the Kremlin, which had repeatedly offered Kyiv: "If you want a meeting — come to Moscow".

### History of confrontation: who is provoking whom?

In fact, the topic of a personal meeting between the two leaders is not new. Zelenskyy has already publicly offered to meet with Putin on several occasions — he even wrote him an open letter calling for a seat at the negotiating table. The goal is to move towards ending the war.

The Kremlin's response has always been unequivocal: "We see no point". Moreover, in Moscow, it was claimed that Ukraine allegedly wants negotiations only to "stop Russia's offensive".

Zelenskyy, in turn, consistently rejects the idea of a trip to Moscow, calling it a "game" that he does not intend to play. His position remains unchanged: a meeting is possible only in a neutral country — for example, in Europe.

### Why is this important now?

Zelenskyy's answer to Trump is not just a joke. It is a political signal: Ukraine is not ready to compromise in a format dictated by Russia. Even with a desire to reach an agreement, security and sovereignty remain priorities.

Furthermore, the mention of drones is not a metaphor. It is a real threat faced by anyone attempting to cross the airspace over Ukraine or near it. Irony here works as a weapon: it highlights the absurdity of the Kremlin's demands while simultaneously emphasizing the seriousness of the situation.

Thus, the dialogue between Trump and Zelenskyy became another episode in the long history of diplomatic confrontation — where every step, every word, and even a joke carries weight.
