The parties are actively preparing documentation to launch new joint projects in the field of missile armaments. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his Telegram channel, confirming progress in bilateral cooperation. ### New formats for the use of missile systems According to the head of the Ukrainian state, during the recent visit to Washington, several special options for the use of missile systems were agreed upon. In addition, the parties agreed to expand cooperation between Ukrainian and American manufacturers. At the moment, active preparation of relevant documents and establishment of communication between enterprises is underway. Coordination of this strategic direction is carried out by the Deputy Head of the President's Office, Pavlo Palisa, together with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, representatives of the American side and Ukrainian manufacturers. "There will be more strength for our warriors," Zelenskyy emphasized, commenting on the importance of these initiatives. ### Strengthening air defense and localization of production Special attention during the negotiations was paid to the implementation of defense agreements with international partners. The President noted that the key priority remains the strengthening of Ukrainian air defense. "We are working with the American side and partners in Europe to get the necessary support packages for Ukraine. It is not easy, but we expect a result. Missiles for air defense are needed in our launchers, not in warehouses somewhere far from real threats," the country's leader noted. Alongside deliveries, work is underway on the localization of the production of the types of Western armaments needed by Ukraine. Zelenskyy reported a significant expansion of this area, thanking European partners for their support of joint defense projects. ### Prospects for joint production Earlier, the US Permanent Representative to NATO, Matthew Witaker, confirmed that Washington continues negotiations with Ukraine on possible joint production for Patriot systems. According to him, the American side is considering various formats of cooperation with Ukraine and European partners, however, a long-term production agreement will not be concluded before the beginning of this winter.
