# Zelenskyy claims Ukrainian defense industry has reached a new level: production volumes may surpass Russia's

Ukraine has reached a critical milestone in the development of its defense industry. The country's President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stated that Kyiv has achieved production volumes of technological weaponry that are capable of exceeding Russia's capabilities in the long term. This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the head of state.

### Focus on production

During a meeting at the President's Office (the Headquarters), special attention was paid to the issue of defense production. The country's leadership held a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian arms industry to discuss the sector's needs in detail. The main goal of the dialogue was to determine the necessary administrative decisions and mechanisms for state financing.

Zelenskyy emphasized that these measures are intended to maximize the increase in Ukraine's production capacity. This will allow for increased pressure on the Russian armed forces and weaken their potential on the front lines.

### Key areas of development

The President listed the priority areas requiring scaling. These include:

- Drones of all types;

- Ballistic missiles (HRC);

- National missile program;

- Electronic warfare systems (EW);

- Military equipment.

According to Zelenskyy, the development of these types of weapons will be a factor that deprives Russia of the ability to prolong the conflict.

### Financing and new developments

Information on plans to expand production is backed by concrete steps. Earlier, Ukraine's Minister of Defense, Mykhailo Fedorov, announced the allocation of nearly 1 billion hryvnias for the production of domestic explosives. The funds will be at the disposal of six enterprises, each of which will be able to produce more than 7 tons of explosives monthly.

Simultaneously, work is underway in the country on unique technological solutions. In particular, the DART missile was created, which is launched directly from stratospheric balloons. One of the key advantages of this development is its immunity to the effects of Russian electronic warfare systems, making it an effective tool in modern combat conditions.
