Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine, has received intelligence reports regarding new Russian plans to strike Ukrainian vessels. According to RBC-Ukraine, Kyiv is already beginning preparations to counter these threats.

The head of state emphasized that Russian intentions for further attacks on maritime assets have become known to the Ukrainian leadership. In response, Ukraine is developing protective measures to minimize damage from potential strikes.

### Updated list of requests to allies

Alongside preparations to repel threats, Ukraine has updated its list of requests to international partners. The country's defense forces have compiled a list of necessary weaponry and defensive equipment, which Zelenskyy will discuss with leaders of allied nations.

### Escalation of attacks in the Black Sea

The situation in the Black Sea has sharply deteriorated in July. Russia has significantly intensified strikes against ships and port infrastructure in the Greater Odesa region. According to the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, at least six attacks on civilian vessels were recorded in just one month. As a result, 44 crew members were killed or injured.

Particularly tragic was the attack on July 19 on the bulk carrier Golden Leo, flying the flag of Guinea-Bissau. Nine sailors were killed in the strike. At the end of the month, Russia twice attacked a vessel flying the flag of Palau, which was transporting nearly 2,800 tons of corn from the ports of the Odesa region.

### Threat to exports

Due to the constant terror, shipping to the ports of the Greater Odesa region has effectively come to a halt. More than 60% of Ukrainian exports are now at risk, creating serious economic risks for the country.
