# Zelenskyy demands halt to Russia's refinery recovery: 'We need real results, not declarations'

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in his evening address, articulated a firm stance regarding the restoration of Russia's fuel infrastructure. The head of state declared that any processes contributing to the resumption of operations at Russian oil refineries (ORs) must be completely halted.

### Global meeting with ambassadors

To implement this task, Zelenskyy announced the organization of a global meeting with Ukrainian diplomats. The meeting will take place in the near future, where concrete steps to pressure the aggressor state will be discussed. The President emphasized that he expects not declarative statements from the diplomatic corps, but real results in each area.

"We will discuss this with Ukrainian ambassadors," Zelenskyy noted, emphasizing the need to coordinate efforts on the international stage.

### The situation with the fuel crisis in Russia

The decision to continue pressure on the fuel infrastructure is made against the backdrop of a difficult situation in Russia. Earlier successful attacks by Ukrainian forces led to a collapse in oil refining in Russia to its lowest level in 21 years. Oil refining volumes have dropped to less than four million barrels per day — the worst figure since 2005.

However, despite the serious blow, the fuel crisis in Russia has gradually begun to weaken. The fuel shortage caused by the attacks is slowly decreasing, although the full consequences of the strikes on the infrastructure have not yet been overcome. It is at this moment, when Russia is trying to restore refining, that Kyiv is calling for an intensification of countermeasures.
