Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Oleksandr Lyashko, commander of the 432nd Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment of the 11th Army Corps. The main goal of the discussion was to address current frontline needs and issues related to the motivation of military personnel. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the official Telegram channel of the head of state.

### A sincere conversation about unity

Volodymyr Zelenskyy characterized the meeting as a "very sincere conversation." The unit commanded by Oleksandr Lyashko is currently carrying out combat missions in the Donetsk region. During the dialogue, both sides focused on identifying the most critical requests of Ukrainian soldiers on the front line.

In addition to operational issues, the agenda included internal political steps of the state. The President and the commander discussed measures that could strengthen the morale and motivation of the fighters. As a result of the meeting, it was emphasized that maintaining unity in the country is a critically important factor.

In his post, Zelenskyy stressed: "Unity matters, and there should be no reasons to divide our society." The head of state thanked the commander for the conversation and ended the post with the traditional greeting "Glory to Ukraine!".

### From former MP to regiment commander

Oleksandr Lyashko, known as a former People's Deputy and leader of the "Radical Party," joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in October 2022. During his service, he rose from the rank of junior sergeant to regiment commander.

Previously, Lyashko reported participating in combat operations along several strategic directions: defending Lyman, the section from Volchansk to Kupiansk, and fighting near Bakhmut. The former deputy began his service as a junior sergeant, commanding a UAV squad of a company within the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade.

Subsequently, Lyashko received the rank of lieutenant and was appointed commander of the unmanned systems battalion of the same brigade. The Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine explained this decision as a request from the brigade commander. Over two years of service, Lyashko deeply studied the specifics of working with unmanned systems, and his unit entered the top 10 in terms of effectiveness in destroying enemy equipment and personnel.
