Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy provided detailed comments regarding the resignation of Mykhailo Fedorov from the post of Minister of Defense. In an interview with Sky News, the head of state explained that personnel changes were dictated not by personal factors, but by the need to ensure the efficiency of the entire management system under wartime conditions.

### Systemic approach instead of personal conflicts

Zelenskyy emphasized that he respects both Mykhailo Fedorov and the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi. However, he noted that the success of large-scale military operations, including strikes on targets within Russian territory, depends not on one person, but on the coordinated work of numerous structures. Intelligence, special services, command, and regular military units play a key role.

When asked about the possibility of reappointing Fedorov to the position of minister, the president avoided a direct answer. Instead, he focused on the inadmissibility of internal disputes between officials influencing strategic decision-making. According to Zelenskyy, during wartime, he does not have the resources to resolve constant conflicts between departments.

### 'No time for negotiations'

The head of state explained his position as a hard necessity to act quickly and decisively. 'I do not have time for talks or negotiations. There is no time to first listen to one side and then the other, because two sides are not ready to meet every day,' Zelenskyy stated. He emphasized that he does not need to find out who is right and who is not when it comes to the country's security.

According to the president, the current situation requires a new approach to mobilization and unprecedented unity between the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of resolving issues in the field of air defense.

### Technology will not replace soldiers

Zelenskyy also touched upon the topic of the role of technology in modern warfare. Acknowledging Fedorov's successes in developing the drone industry, the president reminded that even the most advanced developments cannot fully replace manpower at the front. 'If you do not have soldiers at the front, you will lose one territory, lose a village, and after the village, you will lose a city,' he warned.

### Positions of the parties and new appointments

Earlier, Zelenskyy explained Fedorov's dismissal as a lack of effective interaction between the Ministry of Defense and the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which could not be established without the direct intervention of the head of state. For his part, Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that there was no conflict between him and Fedorov.

It is worth noting separately that the president offered Fedorov the position of Vice Prime Minister for Military Innovations. However, the former Defense Minister refused this offer, stating that he would not agree to any other government position other than the one he previously held.
