Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held another meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Council. The main focus of the agenda was a detailed analysis of the implementation of decisions aimed at strengthening combat brigades and stabilizing the situation on the front line.

### Direct funding and drones

A key outcome of the meeting was confirmation of the effectiveness of measures introduced in the second half of last year. The President noted that they have already yielded results in the form of strengthening the positions of Ukrainian forces. One of the main tools was the introduction of direct funding for combat brigades. This decision allowed units to independently purchase necessary equipment, primarily unmanned aerial vehicles.

### Personnel issues and training

Significant attention was paid to reviewing approaches to the distribution of personnel. According to the head of state, new algorithms have ensured stable replenishment of approximately 160 military units. In addition, the capabilities of units to conduct basic combined arms training have been significantly expanded. The number of such units has increased, which has directly affected the growth of the army's combat readiness.

### Artillery and logistics

A separate block of discussion was devoted to supplying the army with long-range 155mm ammunition. Zelenskyy set the task of expanding funding, organizing production, and establishing logistics for such shells, as well as strengthening artillery capabilities in general. In parallel, the Ministry of Defense continues to work on supplying troops with transport, in particular pickup trucks, part of the decisions on which are already being implemented.

### Situation on the front and air defense

According to the report by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, the situation on key directions remains under control, and the positions of Ukrainian forces are assessed as stable. At the same time, strengthening air defense remains one of the top priorities. Zelenskyy emphasized the need to intensify diplomatic efforts to obtain additional systems and missiles, including anti-ballistic defense means.

“I have also instructed the Ministry of Defense to activate all existing formats with partners to supply anti-ballistic systems. We must find what Ukraine needs,” the President said.

### Geopolitical context

To conclude the meeting, Volodymyr Zelenskyy reminded of the need to strengthen international political and economic pressure on Russia to achieve real security. The head of state also stated that weakening or lifting international sanctions against Russia is the wrong step, as this would only strengthen the aggressor's defense potential and its army.
