Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy voiced a worrying observation: Russian leader Vladimir Putin is interested in the conflict between the US and Iran continuing for as long as possible. The head of the Ukrainian state stated this in an interview with the American TV channel Fox News, reports RBC-Ukraine.

### Intelligence data and the Kremlin's strategy

According to Zelenskyy, information about the mood in the Kremlin came from Ukrainian intelligence. According to the data received, Moscow indeed welcomes the escalation in the Middle East. The logic is simple: tension between Washington and Tehran distracts US President Donald Trump from efforts aimed at ending the Russian-Ukrainian war.

However, the Ukrainian leader admits that he cannot be 100% sure whether Trump realizes the true intentions of his Russian colleague. Nevertheless, Kyiv has a factual basis for the accusations.

### Russian drones in the Middle East conflict

Zelenskyy provided specific evidence of Russia's participation in the conflict on the side of Iran. He emphasized that Russia transferred drones to Tehran, which were used to attack countries in the region and Israel. "This is true. The debris of shot-down drones contains Russian components. Everyone has seen this. There is corresponding footage," the president stated.

### Donald Trump's reaction

This information has already been brought to Donald Trump's attention. Nevertheless, the American leader stated that he intends to personally find out the details of the situation during negotiations with Putin. In response to Zelenskyy's statement, Trump reacted skeptically, noting that Russian equipment did not bring success to other allies of the Kremlin.

"I will ask Putin about this. It did not have a big impact because we blew them to smithereens. Venezuela had all the Russian equipment. And how did that work?" Trump commented.

Earlier, it was reported that Zelenskyy chose a new strategy for negotiations with the American leader, and it also became known about a possible visit by Trump's team to Kyiv.
