Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces carried out a large-scale night operation, during which 14 Russian ships were destroyed. These vessels supported the military logistics of the occupiers and the functioning of the so-called 'shadow fleet' of the Russian Federation, created to bypass international sanctions.
Strikes on logistics hubs
According to data provided by RBK-Ukraine, citing the command of the Unmanned Systems Forces, the strikes were carried out in the waters of the Sea of Azov and near occupied Crimea. Drone operators demonstrated high precision, hitting ships that played a key role in supporting Russia's war economy.
These losses significantly complicate the logistics of Russian troops and undermine the Kremlin's ability to finance military operations through alternative sea routes.
Scale of the fleet destruction campaign
The operation became part of a systematic campaign to liquidate the infrastructure of the 'shadow fleet'. Statistics for the past week indicate a high intensity of attacks:
- From July 6 to 13, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces struck 90 Russian ships.
- During previous night operations, drones attacked another 9 tankers and struck 53 military targets, leading to partial power outages in Crimea.
- In total, over the last 24 hours, the number of 'burning' tankers reached 12 units.
Strategic significance of the attacks
The Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert 'Madyar' Brovdi, confirmed that the attacks on tankers in the Sea of Azov became the ninth and tenth successes within the framework of the 24-hour operation. The systematic destruction of ships deprives the enemy of flexibility in moving cargo and resources, making sea communications extremely vulnerable.
