During the night of June 10, Ukraine faced one of the most massive drone attacks in recent times. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched 207 combat drones over the country. Air defense forces repelled the main wave, but impacts and casualties were recorded.

Scale and Types of Attacking Drones

The aerial assault came from several directions: Orel, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as from positions in occupied Crimea — from Chauda and Gvardeyskoye. Various types of drones were used in the attack: Shahed (including jet modifications), "Gerbera", "Italmas", "Bandol" loitering munitions, and "Parody" decoys designed to distract air defense systems.

Results of Repelling the Attack

As of 08:00, Ukrainian air defenses had shot down or neutralized 181 drones. The operation to repel the attack was carried out by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups, and Ukraine’s own drone systems.

Nevertheless, 21 drones reached their targets — 14 impact locations were confirmed. Additionally, debris from downed drones fell on another 13 territories. The Ukrainian Air Force warned that the attack is ongoing and enemy drones remain in the sky, urging civilians to follow safety protocols.

Casualties and Consequences

Particular attention was drawn to strikes on the Kharkiv region. There, 26 drone hits were recorded during the night of June 10. The number of injured continues to rise — currently, five people are known to be wounded. Odesa was also hit: damage was again recorded in the city, and one person was injured.

What’s Next?

The situation remains tense. Ukrainian authorities continue to monitor airspace and coordinate air defense operations. Further details on damage and casualties are expected in the coming hours. Experts note that such large-scale drone attacks are becoming increasingly frequent and require constant improvement of defense systems.
