The situation on the front line remains extremely tense. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 302 combat clashes were recorded over the past 24 hours. The main burden of the confrontation falls on the southern and eastern sectors, where the enemy is making massified attempts to breach the defense.
Peak activity: Pokrovsk and Huliaipole axes
The most fierce fighting has erupted on the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole axes. It is here that the largest number of assault operations by the aggressor was recorded — 92 attempts in a day. Ukrainian defenders managed to stop the enemy, but the intensity of the attacks indicates an attempt by the enemy to expedite events in these sectors.
On the Pokrovsk axis, Ukrainian troops repelled 46 assaults. Combat operations were conducted in the areas of the settlements of Rodinske, Zapovedne, Novoalexandrovka, Gryshyne, Udachne, and Molodetske. Positions towards Kucheryv Yar, Toretske, Belytske, Dorozhne, Shevchenko, and Novopodilne were also under attack.
The situation is similar on the Huliaipole axis, where the occupiers launched 46 attacks. The zones of active combat operations included the areas of Dobropillia, Varvarivka, Zaliznychna, Yelenivka, as well as the directions towards Vozdvizhivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Huliaipole, and Charyvne.
Activity on the eastern front
The enemy has intensified pressure on the Konstantynivka and Sloviansk axes. On the Konstantynivka axis, 16 attacks were recorded near Konstantynivka, Ivanopil, Pleshcheivka, Rusyn Yar, as well as towards Roksolane and Stepanivka. On the Sloviansk axis, Russian troops conducted seven assaults in the areas of Zakotne, Kalenyky, Reznivka, and towards Rai-Aleksandrivka and Kryva Luka.
On the Lyman axis, the enemy made 11 attempts to wedge into the defense. Attacks were directed towards Drobysheve, Stavky, Lyman, Ozernoye, Stepove, Novoserhiivka, and the Yampil area. On the South-Slobozhanshchyna axis, the enemy attacked positions ten times in the areas of Staritsia, Prylipka, Veterynarny, Lyman, and towards Yzbytske, Okhrimivka, and Ternova.
On the Kupiansk axis, Ukrainian defenders stopped three attempts by the enemy to advance towards Kurylivka, Novoosinove, and the Petropavlivka area. On the Oleksandrivka axis, four attacks were recorded in the areas of Oleksandrivka, Zlagoda, and towards Kalynivka.
Northern sector and air strikes
The situation on the North-Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk axes also remains difficult. There were five combat clashes here. The aggressor launched two air strikes using six guided air bombs (UAB). In addition, the enemy carried out 65 shelling of Ukrainian military positions and settlements, using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) twice.
On the Orikhiv axis, the Defense Forces stopped one attempt to advance in the Bilohiria area. On the Pridniprovsk axis, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled one assault operation towards the Antonivskyi Bridge. On the Volyn and Polissia axes, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groupings were detected.
Countermeasures and strikes on the rear
Parallel to the defense on the front line, Ukrainian troops continue to strike the enemy's rear. It was previously reported that fighters of the Unmanned Systems Service attacked training grounds and a military camp of the enemy's 3rd and 36th Armies in the operational depth. The 64th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Federation's 35th Army came under fire, which, according to Ukrainian authorities, is implicated in war crimes in Bucha in the spring of 2022.
