Tuesday, June 30, will be truly packed for Ukrainian tennis at the 2026 Wimbledon Championships. Five domestic athletes will immediately begin their fight in the singles draw, representing Ukraine at the year's premier grass-court tournament.
Main match of the day: Svitolina vs. Snihur
The central event for domestic fans will be the head-to-head duel between two representatives of Ukraine. The country's number one player, Elina Svitolina (WTA 8), will start her tournament journey with a match against Daria Snihur (WTA 77). These tennis players have never met on the official level before, making their encounter intriguing and unpredictable.
Marta Kostyuk vs. a newcomer
Ukraine's second-ranked player, Marta Kostyuk (WTA 13), who impressed with her semi-final run at Roland Garros this year, will face Argentine Nadia Podoroska (WTA 574). Her opponent entered the main draw thanks to a "protected ranking." This will also be the first match between the rivals.
Repeating success at Roland Garros
Yulia Starodubtseva (WTA 55) will play against "neutral" Anna Blinkova (WTA 114). The head-to-head record between them is even – 1:1. Last month, the Ukrainian defeated the Russian at the start of Roland Garros, and now they are set for a new meeting.
Kalinina vs. Rahimova
Angelina Kalinina (WTA 66) will face former Russian Kamilla Rahimova (WTA 70), who now represents Uzbekistan. The Ukrainian has defeated her future opponent twice, including in April of this year at the "1000" event in Madrid.
Where to watch the broadcasts
This time, "Suspilne Sport" will be the exclusive broadcaster of the main grass-court tournament in world tennis. All matches of Ukrainian tennis players can be seen on the platforms and local channels of "Suspilne," as well as on the "Suspilne Sport" YouTube channel.
