Context: African heat and European record
Earlier, specialists from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center had already warned of the approaching African heat wave. In some regions, temperatures could reach +40 degrees.
The weather situation is not limited to Ukraine's borders. A significant part of Europe has already been engulfed by severe heat, where temperatures have approached the critical mark of +40°C. Consequently, European countries are forced to introduce emergency measures. Forecasters compare the current situation to one of the most tragic weather events in modern history.
