On June 28, abnormally hot weather is expected in Ukraine. Air temperatures in several regions will rise to +38 degrees, while short-term rains with thunderstorms will occur in the east of the country. These data are provided by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, as reported by RBC-Ukraine.
Weather map: where it will be hottest
Forecasters predict an uneven distribution of temperatures across the country. In the western regions, as well as in Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, and Odesa oblasts, thermometer readings will rise to critical levels of 35–38 degrees Celsius. This is the area where the heat will be felt most acutely.
Across the rest of Ukraine, daytime temperatures will be 29–34 degrees. However, in the east of the country, the weather will be cooler — ranging from 23 to 28 degrees.
Where precipitation and thunderstorms are expected
Despite the general trend of heat, the weather in some regions will be accompanied by precipitation. In the eastern regions, as well as in Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson oblasts, and Crimea, forecasters predict light short-term rain. Thunderstorms are possible in some places.
In Kyiv and the Kyiv region, the weather will be calmer: slight cloudiness without precipitation is expected.
