The Ilsky Oil Refinery in Russia's Krasnodar Krai has completely suspended its production activities following a massive strike carried out by the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The incident occurred on the night of September 26, 2026, and resulted in severe damage to the enterprise's key technological facilities. According to the Ukrainian side, modern long-range domestic strike unmanned aerial vehicles were involved in the operation.
Deployment of Advanced FP-1 Drones
As specified by representatives of the Fire Point company, FP-1 drones were used during the nighttime raid on the enemy's strategic facility. This unmanned aerial vehicle is specifically designed to target remote military and energy infrastructure within Russia. The estimated flight range of such a device reaches approximately 1,600 kilometers, and its powerful warhead can weigh up to several hundred kilograms, ensuring critical damage to protected infrastructure.
As a result of precise UAV hits, large-scale destruction was recorded. It is reported that three primary oil refining units were hit, along with significant damage to the enterprise's tank farm. Due to critical damage to the technological cycle, management was forced to completely halt the operations of the plant, which plays a vital role in supplying fuel to the Russian armed forces.

Significance of the Ilsky Refinery for the Russian Economy and Army
The Ilsky Oil Refinery has a design processing capacity of about 6.6 million tons of oil annually. The enterprise carries out a full cycle of receiving, storing, processing hydrocarbon raw materials, as well as producing and shipping finished petroleum products. The General Staff of the AFU has repeatedly emphasized that a significant portion of the plant's products is directly channeled to meet the needs of the Russian army, making the enterprise a legitimate and priority military target.
It is worth noting that this is far from the first attack on major Russian oil refining capacities in recent times.
