Shakhtar Donetsk winger Alisson Santana has shared his emotions after receiving his first-ever call-up to the senior Brazil national team. Commenting on the event to the club's official website, the footballer described the invitation to the country's main team as the fulfillment of a childhood dream that, according to him, accompanies almost every Brazilian boy from his very first steps in football. This is reported by Sport RBC.UA, citing the player's comments.

A childhood dream becomes reality

Alisson emphasized that he feels "very happy and motivated" after receiving the call-up. "This is the embodiment of childhood dreams! Every Brazilian boy who touches a ball for the first time dreams of eventually ending up in the country's main team," the winger stated. According to him, making it to the national team is a goal he has pursued from the very beginning of his journey in professional football, and now this stage has become special for him.

Focus remains on Shakhtar

Despite his personal emotions, the footballer stressed that he is fully focused on club tasks. Before the international break, the Donetsk team has two more matches to play, in which Alisson intends to give his absolute best. Thus, the player consciously separates the joy of being called up to the national team from his daily work with Shakhtar, preventing the external event from affecting his concentration in upcoming club fixtures.

From preliminary list to official call-up

The winger admitted that he knew he was on the extended list of candidates for the Brazil national team, but the official call-up still felt like a special moment since there was no certainty until the very last moment that the invitation would arrive. "Yes, I expected it, I hoped for it, but I couldn't be sure. And to some extent, I still can't believe it. Especially at the moment when I found out, it felt like a dream. However, even if someone pinched me, I wouldn't have woken up — it was a dream come true," Alisson shared.

International window: Japan and Singapore

During the upcoming international window, the Brazilian national team will play two friendly matches under the guidance of Carlo Ancelotti. On November 14, the Brazil squad will face Japan, and on November 17, they will play against Singapore. For Alisson Santana, these matches could be his first in the country's senior team, making the upcoming window a key milestone in his international career.

Celebrating with a club performance

Earlier, Alisson celebrated his Brazil call-up with a strong performance in a club match, scoring a brace against Obolon. Thus, the player bridged his personal international achievement with practical duties at Shakhtar, confirming that he is in top form ahead of the crucial matches before the break.
