Famous Ukrainian TV host Anatoliy Anatolich was involved in a traffic accident in Kyiv. The incident occurred on Bohatyrska Street while the showman was driving his retro BMW convertible. Anatolich confirmed the incident himself by posting relevant stories on his Instagram account.
Circumstances of the Accident
According to the host, he was driving in heavy traffic when he suddenly spotted a Skoda stopped in the middle of the road in the center lane. Anatolich claims that the foreign car driver did not place a warning triangle or turn on the hazard lights, making the obstacle invisible to other road users.
Due to the unexpected stop of the vehicle in front, the showman did not have time to maneuver around the obstacle and collided with it. Anatolich admitted that he still does not know the true reason why the Skoda stopped in such a place.
Consequences of the Collision
Despite the sharp impact, the consequences of the incident turned out to be minor. During the collision, the left side of the host's retro convertible sustained damage. In the published footage, scratches and dents on the front fender and bumper of the car are clearly visible.
Particular attention on social media was drawn to the red traces on the car's body. Seeing them, many users might have mistakenly assumed there were injured people. However, Anatolich quickly commented on the situation, explaining that it was not blood, but only paint from the red car with which the collision occurred.
"A minor traffic accident happened. But the main thing is that everyone is alive and well, no one was injured. And the car damage is not that serious," the host shared.
History of the Car
Anatolich has spoken many times about his passion for cars. One of the most beloved cars in his fleet is a bright yellow 2004 BMW convertible. The showman's dream of owning a convertible was born after a trip to the USA, and he was able to realize it about ten years ago, buying the car for $27,000.
Despite the considerable age of the vehicle, the host is in no hurry to part with the car. At the time of the accident, the BMW's mileage was about 283,000 kilometers. Anatolich prefers to drive it mainly during the warm season, noting that this is the car he likes the most in terms of appearance.
The host also admitted that in 20 years behind the wheel, this is the first time he has hit someone. In his fleet, in addition to the legendary BMW, there is an electric Volkswagen ID.6 and a Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV, but the yellow convertible remains one of the showman's most noticeable and special cars.
