Mashina Vremeni frontman Andrey Makarevich has become a father once again. His wife, Israeli journalist and photographer Einat Klein, has given birth to a daughter — making this the fifth child for the 72-year-old musician. The artist announced the family addition on his Facebook page, posting a series of family photos and a laconic caption, 'Well, something like that.' The couple has not yet disclosed the newborn's name.

In the published pictures, Einat Klein is holding their newborn daughter, accompanied by their four-year-old son, Eitan, who is getting to know his little sister. Unlike many celebrities, the musician and his wife chose not to hide either the child's face or gender. According to TSN, the post appeared on the social network on October 27. Fans congratulated the artist in the comments, noting that 'age is no obstacle to fatherhood' and that the couple now has a 'complete set' — a boy and a girl.

The fifth child in the family

Makarevich's personal life has been eventful: he has married several times and has three adult children from previous relationships. His eldest daughter, Dana, was born in 1975 and lives in the USA. His son Ivan, born from his marriage to Alla Golubkina, became an actor. Daughter Anna was born in 2000 during the musician's relationship with journalist Anna Rozhdestvenskaya. Thus, the artist now has three daughters and two sons, while for 42-year-old Einat Klein, the newborn is her second child.

Family life in Israel

Makarevich's fourth wife is Israeli journalist and photographer Einat Klein, who, according to TSN, is originally from Kyiv. The couple married in December 2019, and in the spring of 2022, their son Eitan was born. In recent years, the musician has been living with his family in Israel. Despite the significant age difference, the couple does not hide family moments on social networks, although they share details of their personal life in moderation. It is worth noting that in Russia, Andrey Makarevich has been designated as a 'foreign agent.'

Stance on the war

Makarevich has opposed Russian aggression against Ukraine since 2014, when he condemned the annexation of Crimea and supported anti-war appeals. Following the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022, he also spoke out publicly against the war, after which he left Russia and moved to Israel. In May 2024, in a conversation with Russian prankers posing as Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the musician stated that he wants a Ukrainian victory. In January 2025, in an interview with a foreign publication, he shared that he had repeatedly helped Ukrainian civilians affected by the war, funding housing for people who lost their homes due to bombardments.

Limitations on aid and recent events

At the same time, Makarevich specifically explained his stance on military assistance: he does not donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, citing concerns about the potential consequences of using weapons purchased with his funds, particularly for his son living in Moscow. The musician also stated that he has not visited Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war, explaining this not out of fear, but out of a sense of moral responsibility for the country where he was born. Earlier reports indicated that Makarevich's family in Israel was caught in a missile attack zone, which resulted in damage to the artist's building.
