Actress Anna Faris, known for the cult comedy franchise 'Scary Movie', shared interesting details about the making of the sixth installment. In an interview with Dexerto, broadcast on TikTok, the star talked about a scene that did not make it into the final cut of the film but contained sharp political satire.

Caricatured Character and MAGA References

In the new installment, Faris returns to the role of Cindy Campbell, who appears as a staunch supporter of conservative views. According to the actress, she insisted that the character be as caricatured and recognizable as possible.

"I always wanted Cindy to be a typical MAGA supporter, the kind you might see near a Walmart during the quarantine, making some crazy noise," the actress noted.

Faris suggested to the screenwriters that they add direct references to the MAGA movement to the script to highlight the absurdity of the situation and the character's nature.

Cut Scene: Dialogue with Melania Trump

One of the boldest ideas that was not realized was a scene where Faris's character, while intoxicated, sits in her pickup truck talking to her reflection in the rearview mirror. In this line, Cindy addresses herself using a phrase that was a direct reference to the 'Be Best' campaign.

This initiative was launched by the First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, in 2018. Its main goal was the well-being of children and teenagers, as well as fighting cyberbullying. During the presentation, Melania urged adults to teach children to use social media responsibly, respect others, and choose their words wisely.

However, the project repeatedly became the subject of criticism due to Donald Trump's own behavior on social media, where he often spoke harshly about his opponents, contradicting the spirit of his wife's initiative.

Why the Joke Didn't Make It Into the Film?

Despite the scene being cut, Anna Faris emphasized that she was not afraid to joke about sensitive topics. According to her, the 'Scary Movie' franchise has always been famous for its provocative humor and satire on pop culture.

"What are you going to do? Get mad at Cindy? I'm starring in the most outrageous movie ever made. I'm the lead actress and I'm part of realizing these outrageous ideas. I think I can get away with almost anything," the actress stated.

Melania Trump's New Plans

Interestingly, the theme of the 'Be Best' campaign remains relevant. After returning to the White House in 2025, Melania Trump promised to update the initiative. Now the focus will shift to children's safety online, combating the spread of harmful digital content, and supporting children from vulnerable social categories.

Success of the New Franchise Installment

In June, the sixth installment of the cult parody franchise premiered, which mocks the most popular horror movies and modern trends. The return of the film caused a real frenzy: it grossed $106 million worldwide in just the first weekend.

The plot centers again on familiar characters: Cindy (Anna Faris), Brenda (Regina Hall), Shorty (Marlon Wayans), and Ray (Shawn Wayans). They face new absurd situations surrounding the cult masked killer and modern horror trends, proving that satire on pop culture is still in demand.
