The night of July 16 to 17 marked a time of unprecedented drone activity within Russian territory. The attacks covered not only Moscow but also a vast area of the Moscow Region, as well as Tver, Vladimir, the Tambov Region, and even Kerch. However, it was the city of Elektrostal that provided the world with the most vivid and alarming footage, reminiscent of scenes from apocalyptic movies.

Elektrostal: Fire at Wildberries Warehouses

The center of attention in the night sky of the Moscow Region became the city of Elektrostal. According to available data, strikes were delivered to the logistics centers of the largest marketplace, Wildberries. Witnesses and local correspondents are transmitting shocking footage: the city is enveloped by a thick, black cloud of smoke rising in columns into the sky. There are reports of direct destruction of warehouse facilities and powerful fires that are difficult to extinguish at night.

Strikes on Infrastructure: Noginsk and Other Regions

The attacks were not limited to one region. In the Moscow suburb of Noginsk, a large oil depot came under attack. This is a Class IIIa facility equipped with 24 tanks with a total park volume of 11,500 cubic meters. The Noginsk Fuel Equipment Plant is located in close proximity, making the situation around the object extremely tense. Data on the consequences of the strike on the oil depot and the plant are currently being clarified.

Parallel to the events in the Moscow Region, drone strikes were also recorded in other locations:

  • Tambov Region: A fire broke out at a Wildberries warehouse, which, according to analysts, may be providing logistics for military needs.
  • Kerch: On the night of July 16 to 17, a railway station burst into flames after a strike, and tankers were attacked in the waters of the Black Sea.
  • Engels: Earlier, on the night of July 16, a series of explosions occurred in the area of the local airport, leading to a fire.

Scale of Night Attacks

Attacks on cities in the Moscow Region continued all night, hitting several points at once. The situation in the region remains tense, and footage of burning warehouses and factories spreading on social media indicates the serious nature of the strikes delivered against logistics and energy infrastructure.
