FC Kharkiv continues its extensive work on the squad ahead of the new season. One of the key events of the off-season was the confirmation that Brazilian midfielder Ari Moura will not be able to play for the updated team. The club's press service reports on the parting with the veteran, citing Sport RBC.UA.
Player statistics and career path
Ari Moura joined the Kharkiv team in 2023, when the club was still named "Metalist 1925". During this time, the Brazilian became one of the key performers in the team, playing 63 matches and scoring 19 goals. His career in Kharkiv went through serious trials: together with the club, he experienced relegation to the First League, but managed to return the team to the elite division of Ukrainian football — the UPL.
Rebranding and personnel overhaul
In the current season, the club has undergone significant changes. In the summer, "Metalist 1925" went through a rebranding: the logo was changed, the club colors were updated, and the team name itself became FC Kharkiv. Ari Moura's departure is partly explained by the personnel reload that the management is conducting as part of the new strategy. The official statement does not disclose the reasons for the parting with the experienced wing midfielder.
Transfer activity
Instead of departing players, the Kharkiv team is actively strengthening the squad. In the off-season, the club has already made a number of notable transfers. Alexander Yatsyk from Kyiv's "Dynamo" joined the team, as well as Argentine midfielder Rafael Profini from "Union Santa Fe" and Carlos Paraco from "Kryvbas".
According to Transfermarkt data, the total transfer fee for these three footballers amounted to 5.1 million euros. This indicates the management's serious intention to bet on young and promising players in the new season.

Under the guidance of coach Mladen Bartulović, the team demonstrated stable play in the past season, finishing fifth in the Ukrainian Premier League standings. Now, the new squad faces the task of maintaining these positions and, possibly, moving higher in the table, relying on the updated squad and the club's new philosophy.
