Ukrainian artist Arsen Mirzoian openly discussed his role in wartime conditions in an interview with the program 'My Story'. The musician shared details about how his family supports the Armed Forces of Ukraine and expressed his views on possible mobilization.

Efficiency over heroics

Mirzoian does not rule out a scenario where he might end up in the ranks. However, his position is based on the principle of maximum efficiency: every person should perform tasks in which they can bring the greatest benefit. According to the artist, if he were to join a specific unit, his functions would remain the same — only within a military structure.

Currently, Mirzoian believes his main task is volunteer work and supporting the fighters. He regularly visits positions, fulfills military requests, and gives concerts. 'A musician at the positions is a very rare phenomenon... But an artist must be such that the fighters trust him,' he noted.

A million hryvnias a month

Together with his wife, Tonya Matviienko, Arsen Mirzoian is actively raising funds. The artist admitted that today almost every one of his concerts has a charitable component, and the proceeds are directed to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

'On average, we manage to accumulate and spend the equivalent of a million hryvnias a month. I am surprised every time how we manage this, because the average donation amount is falling. I am glad that there is trust and you do not give up, moving forward,' the musician shared.

Private concerts for pickups

Mirzoian also talked about how he transforms his performances into help for the front. He gives an example of interacting with influential people: if he is offered to perform at a private event, for example, a birthday party, the discussion of the fee is replaced by a discussion of specific military equipment.

'I need a pickup. That's all,' is how the artist describes the essence of such agreements. In today's reality, the Mirzoian family is fully focused on helping the army, turning creativity into a tool for supporting the defense.
