The Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive a new batch of domestic electric motorcycles called Wolfstorm. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The electric motorcycles were developed specifically for combat operations in difficult terrain conditions.
Design and technical specifications
The Wolfstorm electric motorcycle, nicknamed «Assault Wolf», combines the advantages of classic internal combustion motorcycles with advanced electric technologies. The design follows a mid-drive scheme — the electric motor is located in the center of the vehicle, which provides natural riding sensations, improved balance, and high efficiency, especially on hilly and rough terrain.
Key technical parameters:
- Weight: 105 kg
- Maximum speed: 80 km/h
- Range: 100 km
- Electric motor power: 8 kW
- Drive: chain drive to the rear wheel
- Reverse gear available
- Full charging time: 4 hours
- Load capacity: 200 kg
In addition to standard grid charging, there is an option for quick battery replacement — a significant advantage in field conditions where access to the power grid may be limited.
Tactical significance
Motorcycles remain one of the most in-demand types of transport on the front lines, alongside pickup trucks. They ensure high mobility, speed of movement, and operational efficiency — especially in conditions of complex logistics, lack of roads, or when operating small tactical groups.
Scale of deliveries and budget savings
This year, the Defense Forces of Ukraine will receive a record number of motorcycles — approximately 1,500 units. Six different companies are involved in the deliveries. By involving several contractors in the tender, the final cost of the contract was reduced by almost 12 million hryvnias.
The delivery of domestic Wolfstorm electric motorcycles will be an important step in modernizing the mobility of Ukrainian troops, combining technological sophistication, reliability, and adaptation to real combat conditions.
