In the morning in Kryvyi Rih, a powerful explosion occurred, resulting from an attack on civilian infrastructure. One of the country's key logistics hubs — the Nova Poshta sorting terminal — was hit. Emergency services are currently working on a large scale at the scene to eliminate the consequences and extinguish the fire.

Human factor: no one was injured

Despite the scale of destruction visible in the photos from the scene, the company reports a major victory — the preservation of employees' lives. At the time of the attack, all workers were in specially equipped shelters on the site. This allowed them to avoid casualties and injuries.

"The most important thing is that our workers were not injured, as at the time of the attack everyone was in shelters equipped on the territory of the logistics facility. The life of our team and clients is an unconditional priority," the Nova Poshta press service emphasized.

Work without interruption: how the company copes with challenges

Immediately after the incident, rumors began to spread online about a complete stoppage of the postal service. However, the company management promptly refuted this information. Nova Poshta continues to operate in normal mode.

Over the years of the full-scale war, the logistics network has built an effective system for responding to such challenges. Immediately after the incident, backup delivery schemes were activated, which helped minimize disruptions. Customer shipments continue to be delivered without significant delays.

Compensation for clients: payment terms

Questions regarding the safety of clients' property were also resolved promptly. The company took responsibility for the destroyed packages and promised full compensation. Clients will be reimbursed 100% of the declared value of damaged shipments.

The process of processing payments will take place in two formats:

  • Postal representatives will contact the owners of damaged packages themselves.
  • Clients can personally submit a reimbursement request through the support service.

Context: a series of strikes on logistics

The incident in Kryvyi Rih is not an isolated case. Ukraine's logistics infrastructure has recently been subjected to systematic attacks. Just a few days prior, on July 6, Russian forces attacked civilian infrastructure in Dnipro, striking another Nova Poshta sorting terminal. A fire broke out at the facility, which was quickly extinguished.

Even earlier, on July 5, a logistics center in the Chernihiv region came under fire. These events highlight the vulnerability of critical infrastructure and the importance of the work of rescue services and logistics operators in wartime conditions.
