The situation is developing rapidly: initial reports indicated damage to one enterprise, but later data appeared online suggesting that strikes may have been delivered to both industry giants. Photos and videos demonstrating the consequences of explosions and fires in the industrial zones are already circulating on social media.

Who was the target: SIBUR or TANECO?

Local sources and public pages name "Nizhnekamskneftekhim" as the likely target — one of the largest enterprises in Russia, part of the SIBUR holding structure. However, simultaneously, information is circulating that the strike hit TANECO (Nizhnekamsk Refinery). This plant is considered one of the most modern in the country and plays a vital role in the fuel and energy balance.

TANECO's production capacities are geared towards producing a wide range of products: from Euro-5 standard automotive gasoline and diesel fuel to aviation kerosene, liquefied gases, and bitumens. Any disruption to the operation of such a complex could cause significant interruptions in fuel supplies.
