An atmospheric front will cover almost all regions
Active synoptic processes are expected across Ukraine over the weekend, associated with the passage of an atmospheric front. A new batch of precipitation is arriving from the northwest, so rain, according to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, will cover virtually all regions of the country. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the center's forecast and a post by forecaster Nataliya Dydenko.
Thunderstorms in the south and center, rain across the rest of the territory
Precipitation will be mostly light or moderate, and locally accompanied by thunderstorms. The highest probability of thunderstorms is expected in the southern and central regions, so the weekend in Ukraine is set to be quite rainy.
Cooling after the front passes
On Sunday, after the atmospheric front passes, temperatures will begin to drop. Overnight, thermometers will range from +7 to +15°C, while during the day the air will warm up to only +15 to +23°C. It will remain warmer in the southeast of the country, where on Sunday and Monday temperatures may still reach +25°C. Overall, the temperature background across Ukraine will gradually even out, and the hot weather will recede.
Stormy wind: forecaster's call for caution
One of the main features of the weather, according to the forecaster, is strong wind with gusts up to 15–22 m/s. Against this backdrop, Nataliya Dydenko urges Ukrainians to be attentive and cautious.
Forecast for Kyiv
“On September 6, Kyiv will cool down to +17 to +19°C, with rain expected and strong wind with stormy gusts up to 15–20 meters per second,” the forecaster predicts.
