Ukraine has been waiting for six months for a reaction from Beijing regarding the provided evidence of the use of Chinese components in Russian weaponry. Despite the materials being handed over to the Chinese side, there has been no official response or any action from the PRC.
Facts Instead of Words
This was stated by the President of Ukraine's Commissioner for Sanctions Policy, Vladyslav Vlasuk. According to him, six months ago, Chinese authorities received files containing exhaustive data and serial numbers of components discovered in Russian equipment. However, over the past period, Beijing has not demonstrated a noticeable reaction to this evidence.
The situation is exacerbated by the fact that the share of Chinese components in Russian weaponry continues to grow. Vlasuk noted that alongside the US and Japan, China remains one of the main sources of foreign parts entering Russian weapons systems.
Scale of Dependence
According to data cited by Vlasuk in an interview with Reuters, approximately 60% of foreign parts identified in Russian weapons on the battlefield in Ukraine are of Chinese origin. This confirms the thesis that, despite statements about a "neutral position" in the conflict, Beijing continues to actively cooperate with Moscow.
Chinese companies supply dual-use goods that are directly used for the production of weaponry. In April, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine possesses irrefutable evidence of this fact, although Beijing officially continues to deny any military aid shipments.
Russian Industry Plans
The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine (HUR) reports on the large-scale plans of the Russian industrial sector. This year, Russia plans to produce 2 million FPV drones equipped with Chinese parts to continue the war against Ukraine. This indicates that supply logistics chains are operating without interruption, despite international pressure and the existence of an evidence base in Kyiv.
