Swedish actor Bill Skarsgård, best known for his role as Pennywise in the "It" film adaptations, has been cast in the lead role of PHYSINT, the upcoming spy action game by Japanese director and game designer Hideo Kojima. The project is being developed by Kojima Productions and will become the studio's third original intellectual property. The casting announcement was accompanied by the release of a new game poster.

Confirmation from Hideo Kojima

Kojima himself confirmed the collaboration and revealed that he and Skarsgård have long been following each other's work. According to him, the team has already conducted costume fittings, scanning, and camera tests with the actors. "We have long been fans of each other's work and decided to embark on this new adventure together. The costume fittings, scanning, and camera tests we conducted with Bill and Charlie earlier this year gave me tremendous confidence in the direction the project is taking," Kojima stated.

Cast and New Poster

In addition to Skarsgård, the cast of PHYSINT includes Charlie Fraser, Don Lee, and Minami Hamabe. Details about the character the Swedish actor will portray have not yet been revealed. Along with the announcement, the studio unveiled a new poster featuring Bill Skarsgård alongside Charlie Fraser.

PHYSINT is described as an action spy game that Kojima calls the culmination of his 40 years of work in the video game industry. According to the creators' vision, the project is set to combine modern technology with a large-scale cast to set a new benchmark for the action-spy genre.

Bill Skarsgård's Journey

Bill Skarsgård gained international fame thanks to his role as the clown Pennywise in the films "It" (2017) and "It Chapter Two" (2019). His filmography also includes "Nosferatu," "Barbarian," "The Crow," "Atomic Blonde," "John Wick: Chapter 4," "Devil's Playground," and "The Boy Kills the World." In 2025, the actor returned to the role of Pennywise in the series "It: Welcome to Derry," where he also served as an executive producer.
