A serious incident affecting one of the country's key logistics networks occurred in Dnipro. On the afternoon of May 31, Russian forces struck the building of 'Nova Poshta' branch No. 1 with an unmanned aerial vehicle. As a result of the attack, the building burned down completely.

Consequences of the attack and emergency services response

According to the company's press service, confirmed by RBK-Ukraine, the branch building was destroyed by fire. At the scene, employees of the State Emergency Service (SES) and the police are currently working. Specialists are assessing the scale of the damage and dealing with the aftermath.

Fortunately, there were no casualties: the branch employees were not injured. Parked cars in the affected area also burned down. Full information regarding the status of the cargo located in the branch will only become available after the firefighting operations are completed and the damage is assessed.

Company response and logistics schemes

The management of 'Nova Poshta' reacted promptly to the incident by implementing backup operational schemes. Logistics routes have already been reorganized to minimize the impact of the incident on the overall network. The company assured that delays in the delivery of shipments are not expected.

An important aspect was the decision to compensate for damages. 'Nova Poshta' confirmed that it will compensate clients for the declared value of all destroyed shipments. Customer support staff have already begun contacting clients to clarify the details of the payments.

Context of attacks on infrastructure

The incident in Dnipro was not the only attack on the company's infrastructure on that day. Earlier on May 31, an enemy drone damaged 'Nova Poshta' branch No. 1 in Sloviansk, Donetsk region. This indicates targeted pressure on the country's logistics hubs by Russian forces.
