Prices for basic food items have been updated in Ukrainian supermarkets. According to an RBC-Ukraine monitoring conducted on June 18, prices for bread and eggs have changed compared to the previous day, while other items remained stable.
Bakery products: price dynamics
The bread segment showed mixed dynamics. In some chains, the price of the most budget-friendly bread increased, in others it decreased, and in a third group it remained unchanged. This indicates that there is no single trend across the country, and pricing depends on the specific retail chain and region.
Rice and cereals: absolute stability
Popular cereals, particularly rice, demonstrate complete price stability. The cost of this item in most supermarkets exactly matches the figures from the previous day. Shoppers can count on an unchanged price when purchasing basic cereals.
Grade C1 eggs: an ambiguous situation
The market for Grade C1 chicken eggs shows inconsistency. In some chains, prices have risen, in others they have fallen, and in a third group they have remained at the previous level. This makes the egg segment the most volatile among basic products at the moment.
Milk and butter: calm after changes
Prices for milk are fixed in various package volumes depending on the retail chain. Meanwhile, in the segment of refined sunflower oil, a complete lull has followed previous fluctuations — the product price has not changed.
The monitoring covered exclusively the most budget-friendly items in popular supermarket chains, allowing for an assessment of the situation for the widest range of consumers.
