At the recent Paris Fashion Week, French fashion house Chanel presented its highly anticipated Spring-Summer 2027 collection. The new large-scale line combined the legendary brand's rich archival codes with daring modern prints and intricate decorative elements that set the tone for future global trends.

Intergenerational Continuity and Historical Heritage

The show was both opened and closed by the same model, Dyanira Gurbusher, who walked the runway carrying the original iconic 2.55 bag that once belonged to Gabrielle Chanel herself. With this symbolic gesture, creative director Matthieu Blazy artfully united the long history of the French House with contemporary aesthetics, emphasizing intergenerational continuity.

Avant-Garde Shapes and Zoological Motifs

Matthieu Blazy did not limit himself exclusively to classic silhouettes, presenting fresh versions of flap bags, models with chunky chains, large CC clasps, as well as elongated and soft variants. Fashion critics paid special attention to a miniature birdcage-shaped bag, while avian motifs ran consistently through the decor of the clothing and accessories.

Diversity of Seasonal Footwear Trends

The collection's footwear line amazed with its sweeping variety: a unique pair of shoes was selected or custom-designed for each of the 83 looks created. The runway featured shoes with predatory animal prints such as leopard and tiger, elegant two-tone models, as well as shoes with contrasting toes, curved heels, and sandals featuring massive gold CC logos.
