On the night of June 9, the strategically important Chongar Bridge, connecting the mainland with temporarily occupied Crimea, was completely disabled. A repeat attack by Ukrainian units resulted in a total blockage of transport communications, turning a key logistics corridor into non-functional infrastructure.
The operation was carried out by the "Falanga" Center for Multi-Domain Operations, supported by the 1st Separate Assault Regiment named after Dmytro Kotsubailo and the 475th Separate Assault Regiment "CODE 9.2". To strike the target, Ukrainian military forces used FP-2 combat drones.
Chronicle of Destruction: From Partial Damage to Total Blockade
This was not the first attack on the facility in recent days. On June 7, the bridge was struck for the first time, partially damaging the road surface in one direction. However, it was the night operation on June 9 that proved decisive: the facility's infrastructure was completely disabled.
According to information provided by the occupation authorities, the strike was recorded on the crossing over the Sivash Bay. As a result of the attack, movement across the bridge was completely halted, and the authorities controlling the peninsula were forced to recommend using detour routes.
FrontStrike Strategy and Monitoring of Restoration Efforts
The attack was part of systematic work within the framework of FrontStrike operations aimed at destroying the enemy's logistics infrastructure. Ukrainian military officials emphasize that movements and attempts to conduct restoration work at the facility are under constant surveillance.
In a statement by the 1st Separate Assault Regiment of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, readiness to deliver further strikes in case of any attempts to restore the logistics route was noted. Thus, the Chongar Bridge, being one of the key crossings, has been blocked for an indefinite period.
