Strict restrictions on the presence of civilians have been introduced in certain areas of the Kremenchuk district in the Poltava region. These security measures came into effect on October 3, 2026, pursuant to decisions made by the regional Defense Council.
Causes and Nature of the Imposed Restrictions
The decision to establish a special regime was adopted by the regional authorities to ensure public safety and carry out necessary preventive measures. A strict ban on economic and recreational activities, including amateur and commercial fishing, hunting, and mushroom picking in forest areas, has been established in designated parts of the Kremenchuk district.
Special Access Regime and Prohibitions
In addition to the ban on visiting forests and water bodies, a strict prohibition on any photo and video recording has been introduced in the designated zone. Entry and access to the restricted area are now permitted exclusively to citizens who are officially registered and permanently reside in this sector.
Similar security measures are periodically introduced in various regions of Ukraine depending on the operational situation. By contrast, in other regions, the situation may develop differently: earlier, authorities decided to ease measures and shorten the curfew in the neighboring Mykolaiv region, where restrictions were reduced by one hour.
