In Kyiv, in the Troeshchyna district, a serious traffic accident occurred on Saturday evening. At the scene, a passenger car Audi collided with a heavy-duty truck. According to preliminary data, the driver of the passenger car drove into the lane of oncoming traffic, where a head-on collision with the truck took place.
Consequences of the accident and condition of the injured
In the footage published by law enforcement agencies, extensive damage to the vehicles is visible. The white Audi was particularly badly damaged: the body is deformed, the doors are open, and the car's roof is crushed. The heavy-duty truck also sustained damage to the front part.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the passenger car sustained injuries. Medical personnel provided him with first aid and hospitalized him. At the scene, an investigative and operational group of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv is working, as well as patrol service officers who are regulating traffic and investigating the circumstances of the incident.

This incident occurred against the backdrop of a series of other serious traffic accidents in Kyiv. Earlier in the city, a fatal collision occurred on Chokolovsky Boulevard, where a Mercedes driver at high speed flew onto the sidewalk and crashed into an underpass. In that accident, four people died, including a child and two police officers. The investigation has already established that the 49-year-old driver had previously repeatedly violated traffic rules.
Another serious traffic accident occurred in the Karavaevy Dachi district, where a car crashed into the structure of an underpass. Experts note that thousands of accidents are recorded in the capital every year, a significant part of which is related to speeding, violation of maneuvering rules, and driver inattention. Despite increased control and the introduction of automatic violation recording systems, the problem of road safety remains one of the most acute in the city.
