As a result of another Russian attack on the capital recorded on October 19, the Cosmo Multimall shopping and entertainment center in Kyiv's Solomianskyi district sustained significant damage. The facility is located on Vadym Hetman Street, near the Shuliavska metro station, and is one of the city's largest multifunctional complexes. A RBC-Ukraine correspondent visited the site and documented the aftermath of the strike: the building's roof and supporting structures were destroyed, part of the floor slabs collapsed, and the facades and interior premises were rendered inoperable.
Aftermath of the Attack on the Shopping Center Building
At the time of the correspondent's visit, the roof and load-bearing frame of Cosmo Multimall were damaged, with floors collapsing in certain sections. Emergency and utility services continue to work at the scene, eliminating the consequences of the strike and assessing the technical condition of the structures. In connection with the nighttime shelling, the shopping center team expressed condolences to the families of the victims and the injured. The images show exposed floors, torn thermal insulation, and temporary protective coverings on openings, indicating the extensive scale of destruction.
Course of Nighttime and Morning Strikes on the Capital
Recall that on the evening of October 18, as well as during the night and morning of October 19, Russian troops attacked Kyiv once again. The enemy used ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles for the strikes. The epicenter of the nighttime attack was the Dniprovskyi and Desnianskyi districts of Kyiv. In the morning, the enemy launched renewed strikes, with hits recorded in the Solomianskyi district, where the shopping center, among other things, was damaged.
Scale of Damage in the City
According to available data, as a result of the shelling in the capital, one person was killed and eight others were injured. Damage was reported to eight multi-story residential buildings, a fitness club, a medical facility, a supermarket, two gas stations, a school, a sports complex, the Chernihivska metro station, and warehouse premises. During the morning attack in the Solomianskyi district, four residential buildings, bank premises, a private medical clinic, the shopping center, office premises, and parked cars were damaged.
Context: History of the Facility

Its location near the Shuliavska metro station and dense residential development makes the facility significant for both the commercial and social infrastructure of the district. Repeated strikes on Kyiv's civilian infrastructure continue against the backdrop of a series of night and morning attacks recorded in various districts of the city.
