The lots include items belonging to Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt, which will become part of the history of film and fashion collectors.
Food Stains as Part of the Story
One of the most discussed lots is the Gabriela Hearst Niki dress, which Anne Hathaway's character, Andy Sachs, wore during a trip to the Hamptons. In the film's plot, the heroine accidentally stains the outfit with food, and it is in this condition—with stains—that the dress will be put up for auction. Experts note that such details make the item unique, turning it into an artifact that tells the story of a specific film episode.
Meryl Streep's Jacket and Other Lots
The collection also includes a Dries Van Noten jacket with tassels, in which Meryl Streep, in the role of Miranda Priestly, appeared at a work meeting at Runway.
