On the evening of August 1, a powerful explosion rocked the Balzi Rossi restaurant in Moscow, located near the famous Stalinist skyscraper on Kudrinskaya Square. The incident caused a fire, resulting in five deaths and dozens of injuries. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has already initiated a criminal case under the article on terrorism, and the version of a gas leak has been officially ruled out.

According to law enforcement data, an explosive device equivalent to one kilogram of TNT was hidden in a gift box and detonated remotely. A female terrorist attempting to enter the establishment was stopped by security.

Connection to General Chaiko's family

New details regarding the identity of the victims emerged thanks to an investigation by the Ukrainian publication RBK-Ukraina, citing the Russian publication "Verstka". Journalists noted the lists of victims published by the REN TV and 112 channels, which have close ties to the security structures.

The list of victims includes a 25-year-old woman, whose initials are given as Maria P. She has been diagnosed with an open traumatic brain injury. According to sources close to the restaurant management, Maria Chaiko — the daughter of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces, General Alexander Chaiko — could be among the injured.

Investigation via databases

The investigation revealed that in databases, a woman named Maria with a birth date corresponding to 25 years of age often appears under the surname Peredriy. At the same time, the place of residence matches the data for Maria Chaiko. In phone directories, she is listed as "Chaiko Maria, fiancée".

Experts conclude that Peredriy is likely the surname of the general's daughter's husband. Furthermore, the list of victims includes a 27-year-old Daniil P. Data leaks suggest that this is Daniil Predriy, whose age is also 27. In social networks, Maria Chaiko's account was found among the friends of this man.

Thus, the incident at the Balzi Rossi restaurant takes on new dimensions, affecting the families of high-ranking military officials. The investigation is ongoing, and the prosecution is working to establish all the circumstances of the terrorist act.
