Sad news has spread through the Ukrainian show business and among fans of the reality show 'Khata na Tata'. Sergey Bondar, one of the brightest and most memorable participants of the project, whom viewers affectionately called the 'village sultan', has passed away.

The death of the TV personality was confirmed by his son on the social network TikTok. The young man addressed his followers, asking for understanding and delicacy during this difficult time for the family.

A Heavy Loss for the Family

Sergey Grigoryevich's son reported that his father passed away on May 18, 2026. In his video address, he admitted that he had long hesitated whether to publish this news but decided that fans should know the truth.

"My father, Bondar Sergey Grigoryevich, is no longer with us... Therefore, I want to ask — when you see me, my brother, or my mother, do not ask anything about the project or my father, because it is very difficult," the deceased's son requested.

From 'Domestic Tyrant' to Model Family Man

Sergey Bondar lived in the village of Ksaverovka in the Kyiv region, where, together with his wife Svetlana, he raised two sons and managed an extensive household. Before participating in the TV project, he adhered to traditional but outdated views on the distribution of duties: he believed that caring for livestock, poultry, and the farm was exclusively women's work, while he himself preferred to relax in front of the television.

It was precisely this domestic lifestyle that became the central theme of his episode. However, participation in the show became a turning point in the family's life. According to close ones, after filming, Sergey began to look at household chores differently, started helping his wife more actively, and took on part of the responsibilities he had previously ignored.

Why Was He Called 'The Sultan'?

Widespread fame came to Sergey thanks to his bright character and unusual hobbies. One of his main passions was the Turkish series 'Magnificent Century'. This love for Eastern drama, mixed with his specific attitude to daily life, gave him the popular nickname 'village sultan'.

The episode featuring him became one of the most discussed in the history of the show. Viewers remembered him not only as a comedic character but also as a person capable of changing under the influence of circumstances. Bondar's story became an example of how participation in a reality show can affect family values and relationships.
